Greetings!
This July brings me exciting news as I have been invited to join Partners in Mission to Israel. We will be working in cooperation with Nazareth Village. (www.nazarethvillage.com) Based on solid Biblical scholarship and the most up-to-date archaeology, Nazareth Village brings to life a farm and Galilean village, recreating Nazareth as it was 2,000 years ago. The witness of the village’s Parable Walk, archeological reconstructions, and the visitors’ center has blessed thousands of school children, religious and college groups, and tourists from over 50 countries.
This summer celebrates the tenth English Summer Camp at the community center in Nazareth. English camps have been a partnership venture since they began. Volunteers come to teach English and are immersed into the culture and its people. The local children attend the camp to improve their English but also to build relationships with those who come to lead. The volunteers are blessed by the hospitality of the Arabs as they are hosted in their homes. I feel especially blessed to be part of this project as a former English teacher in Tel Aviv.
I am requesting your partnership in two areas. First, of course, I covet your prayers. I know that this will be a great opportunity to show the love of God while teaching English to the students. I have seen how the power of God can change lives in Israel, and I long to see His Kingdom strengthened in the land so dear to us.
